Droid Engineer Archive

This kinda baffles me. I am a weaponsmith and every weapon I make is ear marked with my name. The customer can always just look at their weapon if they forgot my name to come back for another one. Why does my droid (spunkie) whom helps me craft not have such a tag ? Recently I thought about getting another droid but could not remember the DE's name , looked on spunkie and oops no made by tag.

Am I just missing something obvious here ?

I cannot be 100% certain of this, but my assumption is that it has to do with the fact that droids are 'tamed' from deeds. WAY too much information is lost in this process, which was apparently introduced VERY late in the official beta, and remained far from completely tested.

I'm rather well-convinced that the loss of customized chassis colors happens at this point, too.

Well from a crafters point of view I feel truly sorry for you folks in that area. I love my little R2 and when I wanted to return to it's maker for another droid I dunno who he is. That has got to hurt your business , I hope this gets fixed for you folks since naming them with a trademark isn't an option.
