Thread: Which resources do DE'd really really want?
Dev's attention 1000 OQ although I would settle with 0 quality but at least something!
Now, more seriously, we don't really have anything that's used a lot and it's hard to find. The only thing would be Duranium steel for the BLL, but how many requests do we get for one? In my months of DE I've got ... 1 request
In general:
Steel
Fiberplast
Polymer
Extrusive Ore
Aluminum
Specific types:
Duralloy Steel
Duranium Steel
Neutronium Steel
Duranium Aluminum
Link-Steel Aluminum
Lidum Extrusive Ore
Byrellius Copper
most of those specific types he mentioned, are really not needed. They're used for lvl 5 and 6 modules, but since you just need a lvl 4 and a lvl 3 together to do the same thing as a lvl 6, it doesn't really matter.
Resources and experimentation have no effect on droid quality so droid engineers typically buy bulk low grade cheep resources as there is no benefit for paying more for better.
For starting droid engineers they need constant streams of grinding quality steel and fiberplast and LOTS AND LOTS of it.
If you want to make money selling resources armor and weaponsmiths are your main targets with docs and combat medics next. With architects, tailors, droid engineers we have very limited experimentation and quality of goods does not effect the product so they have far less exotic material needs.

Oh, and noone seems to have mentioned Ditanium steel? That's used for protocols (and I think load lifters, too).
Dang I posted here earlier but it must have gotten lost in all the lag.
Duralloy Steel is probably the single most important specific resource for Droid Engineers. It is used in a couple of different components and in a couple of different Droid Chassis (I think). Duranium Steel and Ditanium Steel are also used in fairly large quantities, but each is only necessary for a single Droid.
Extrusive Ore and Siliclastic Ore are also very important because they're used to make key components. However these are a little more common and typically easier to find than the 3 D-Steels.
All the rest of the specificresources listed really aren't necessary because they're only used for high-level modules whose effects can be duplicated by installing multiple lower-level modules. It's nice to have them, but you won't be put out of business if you don't have them.
Duralloy Steel for Binary Lifters and Level 4 thru 6 Armor, Ditanium Steel for the Protocol droids, Dioxis Gas for Level 6 Data Modules, and Lidium Extrusive Orefor the Item Storage Modules level 6. These seem to be the most rare. I know I am hurting for it.
Lidium Extrusive Ore. It has only seen the virtual light of day once on Shadowfire, and that was 2 months ago.
