Thread: Test Center Goals
I'll have some more later after I've had a chance to process more of the info and get on TC myself.

I'm going start a series of threads for every time we get a new publish on TC. These threads will have a list of all the new things that need to be tested on TC regarding droids. Feel free to post your results or suggestions of other things that need to be tested, and please help out by checking on some of the ideas posted here.
Harvest Droids: I want to make sure that nothing has gone amuck with these with the harvesting changes since they tend to be big sellers for most of you. When the bonus is applied is relevent, and more importantly if a player grouped with others (but not the droid) still gets the group bonus using their droid. Droids in the group tend to get sucked into combat a lot more and then run away.
Calling Droids: I hear reports of being able to call droids from a toolbar/hotkey. This needs to be confirmed and thoroughly checked for exploits such as calling multiple droids.

I Would love to help in the with the testing with more grinding i should make master soon as i can get more resources I will try and see if this call for the hot key works.

I power tested this feature twice now, for about 1 hour each time. I put 5 different droids in my tool bar and ran around randomly hitting buttons, to see if I could call out more then one droid at a time.
I was able to call upon 2 of the same droid once. The first droid called was no longer displayed that it was owned by me and did not have any radial menu options, except for Examine. It would not respond to any commands that I issued. Shortly after crossing a server border, the unowned droid stopped following me and disappeared shortly afterwards.
This is a general issue with all droids/pets/perks that has been happening throughout the course of the game.
I give this feature a go for being added to Live.
I'd test out some more of the other new features; however I'm having too much fun playing KotOR II and Half-Life II on my new computer. ![]()
AMD 64 3200+ OC'd to 2.5 GHz witha gig of some nice PQI PC3200 @ 2.5-3-3-6. I'm in Overclocking heaven. ![]()

A little light on the RAM, but definately looks nice. Now you just need a 64 bit OS/games.
I've yet to have enough programs running break over 750 Megs of RAM use. I plan on getting at least .5 Gigs of more RAM in a few months, but first I need a new video card.
I'm actually using Windows XP Pro 64 beta. The only issue that I've had with it since I installed it is I can't use my printer due to no drivers for it yet. I've been really lucky with Pro 64 in that it has run really really stable without a single problem....so far. ![]()

hehe, usually galaxies alone for me will take up about a gig of my memory after playing for a while (got 1.5 in the system). Haven't had a chance to get any info on xp pro 64, but without the ability to recompile all my applications for 64 bit mode I just don't see enough of a benefit for it. The OS runs in 64 bit mode but all yours apps (or at least most of them) are still gonna run in an emulated 32 bit mode...

True, but the programs tend to run a bit faster, or at least it seems this way.
Games tend to be 2-5 fps faster with Pro 64, then they are with the standard XP Pro. With my Nvidia 5200fx, that is a pretty big difference.
There are still very few programs out there with 64 bit support, but that should change in the next 12+ months.
BTW, since the toolbar fix isn't listed in main list of Publish 13 additions, we will need to remind our customers of this new function. It also wouldn't to /poke Tiggs in order to offically add it to list of fixes/additions.
hehe, anyway, yea, you tend to get better speeds on everything because you have more registers, even in 32 bit mode I think its something like 8 more integer registers and some other number of floating point registers (too early to think).
