Thread: First Droid Engineer Convention and Trade Fair Flurry Server!

On Saturday, March 5th from 3 PM until 11 PM (Eastern US Time) and Sunday March 6th, from 12 noon until 6 PM, The Droid Engineers of Flurry will be hosting a Convention and Trade Fair!
This will be a chance not only for the DE's to get to know each other, but a great opportunity for the players in general to meet the DE's, ask questions of them, see displays of the various merchandise offered by our profession, and interact as a group.
This event will take place just outside of the city limits of Aurora, on Naboo. The out-of-town venue was chosen to eliminate any problem for players who may have been city-banned due to the Galactic Civil War. For obvious reasons, we would request that members of either Imperial or Rebel factions please not attend in overt status.
The convention will be held in a PA Hall set up for only this purpose. Every participating Droid Engineer will have an area to display their merchandise, and vendors will be allowed to be placed for any DE's that desire them! This could be the biggest Droid sales event in history!
Zorkk has agreed to host a "Battle-Bots" tournament during the convention. Prizes to be awarded and times for this event will be posted closer to the time of the convention.
All Droid Engineers that I know of on Flurry have been sent an invitation to participate in this event. I may, however, not know of every DE on the server! If I omitted you or a DE you know, please have them email me in-game! I would like as many DE's as possible to participate in this!

Cool, reminds me of the old all server DEA meetings we used to have. I'll have to see how my schedule is going as to whether or not I'll be able to show up, but hopefully I'll make it.

Plans are going very well for this event! We have five Droid Engineers attending. I have a Naboo PA Hall ready to set up as the convention center, and have ordered tables for all the participants to set up their displays. I'll place the PA Hall the weekend before the scheduled date and grant access to the DE's so that they can place their displays and vendors (if desired) at their convenience.
Right now we have a Battle-Bot tournament in the works, along with several demonstrations of what an exploding R3 can do to a player!
Hoping we can generate a good turnout for this, as it is the first event of it's kind that I know of for DE's and the other players to meet as a group.

Wish my server was a bit more proactive... tried to get Sunrunner's Droid Engineers to unite, but they didn't respond to my thread.
Been thinking of switching... I think Sunrunner is just an underplayed galaxy.
Good luck with your meeting though!
