Thread: Desperate DE can't figure out how to add several modules to droid

Hi,
I read the whole FAQ over and over again and I used the search but I can't find the answer.
I bought a few droids before I was a DE and the droids (all R2 units) have like 4 crafting stations and droid storage and such.
However, when I want to assemble an R2 I can only put in 2 modules!
Now a customer wants an R2 with a weapon crafting station, item and data storage but I can't fit it in! What am I doing wrong? If I add the modules to a general droid module socket cluster component it will only let me add that to a surgical droid.
How the heck did that other DE craft that R2 unit with 4 crafting stations plus medical rating or item storage and I can't even put in the 3 modules my customer ordered?! Either my English is that bad or the FAQ does not make clear how to do that.

It is in the FAQ (Section 12.1), but perhaps not as clear as it could be. Any droid that is capable of combat uses combat-capable socket clusters, even if you don't actually use combat modules. So just put the modules into a combat-capable socket cluster instead of a general droid socket cluster.

If you're just now learning about cluster configuration, I would also recommend reading the section on stacking the modules. It was a great tool for me to use when building my personal helper droid. (I was attempting to find out whether or not you could use multiple module types in a single cluster, and found alot more information than I'd bargained for. 
)
)On a sidenote: I absolutely love the FAQ assembled here on the DE forums! It's quite possibly the best thing I've seen spawn from the SWG forumsyet.
