Hey, in that instance your wasting a level 6 when you can use two level 3s for the same effect!

True...but for those that work from crated parts (to save inventory space), you'd either have to store twice as many Level3s or keep only half (to use the same inv. space).

I find it easier to just get a bunch of L6 armor crated and be done with it.

Well just think, if they retroactively change droid armor levels and someone let the system know that you put in two lvl 6s instead of one, your droids will be better than everyone else's At least that's what I tell myself from time to time when I throw 2 lvl 6 plates on my R3 combat droids, hehe.

Do you need to stack lvl 6 droid armor to get the Max Effectivness rating? For instance in a Adv Probot it has twoslots for armor. Will one Lvl six armor plate give me the max or do i need two?

Ehmmm a L3 + L3 would become 1 L5 afaik....

According to some DE manuals I've read myself stacking with same numbers alway put on below..

So to get a L6you should use 2 L4s (or L4 + L3, but that means a lot more work).

Myself when a customer wants the best of the best I tell them to have me put in 2 L6 in the hope the near future will fix this stupid hindrance so they might get a better droid...

Some DE manuals don't tell the whole story. Don't be afraid to experiment...

You CAN experiment that level 3 armor module. If ya can get up to 40% or so I believe on the effectiveness, you will get the effect of a lvl 6 armor when you combine the two experimented lvl 3 modules.

On a side note, poor me... I have not seen any Durralloy Steel spawn on my Galaxy in over 5 months!

ok... this is my take on things....

how much does it cost you for a level six armor module?

i mean really!!! i buy my segments in lotsof 500, these are very cheap since the quality doesn't really matter. i think the last batch cost me 10k i get 60k for the probot at 3000 HAM and 80k at 3200 HAM, i always put in the 2 type 6 armor modules. since as it was mentioned above the devs may, someday, increase the max armor %. if this happens alot of folks would be pretty mad when they found out you skimped on one cheap part.

So i keep putting in 2 armor modules. the cost is minimal.

Here is why I only deal in level 6's.

Some chasis only can fit one armor module, like the LE droid. So if you want to max armor, you are forced to use a level 6. It is seriously to much a pain in the butt to keep levle 6's for those, and lower levels to stack. I just make 6's and use them, it's a lot easier in the long run. Getting a segmant schematic is pretty easy.
