Thread: Droid Customization Kit Experimentation

I did some testing on this with different quality resources and using Control Units and Droid Storage Compartments with varying qualities. From what I can tell, the Control Unit and Droid Storage Compartment have *no effect* on the quality of the end result.

Using 837 OQ 856 Cond Copper (the kit is a 50/50 split between those two traits) the Experimental Quality bar started out at 23% and extended over to nine out of ten boxes. Of course only five more of those can be filled in because Master DEs only have five experimentation points. =(

No matter what quality of Control Unit or Droid Storage Compartment I used the experimentation window came up exactly like this. When I used junky metal it dropped way down.

Experimental Quality seems to be the determining factor in how many charges the Droid Customization Kit has. The equation seems to be to divide by 10 and round up/down.

0% - 14% = 1 Charge
15% - 24% = 2 Charges
25% - 34% = 3 Charges
35% - 44% = 4 Charges
45% - 54% = 5 Charges
55% - 64% = 6 Charges

Six is the most I was able to get out of a Droid Customization Kit with the materials I had and our limited number of experimentation points. Success bonuses seemed to go like this going a box at a time or multiplied by the number of boxes you fill in. These numbers may vary depending on the materials used, I don't know for sure.

Amazing Success = +10%
Great Success = +7%
Good Success = +3%
Moderate Success = +2%
Success = +1%

So experimenting all five boxes at once and getting an amazingsuccess should result in +73% which is theoretically a seven use kit (I burned through another 20 trying to get this for a schematic and never did, hehe). With really good materials then the initial percentage should approach 30% which would result in a theoretical eight use kit with an amazing success. Ten uses is the theoretical maximum, but only if we get more experimentation points. =)

Do you know ifthe kit is usable by non-DE's?

As stated in another thread, ONLY DEs CAN USE CUSTOMIZATION TOOLS
