Thread: Letter Writing?
Everybody is going to think I am insane...but try to hear me out.![]()
Has anybody ever thought of writing a letter to Lucas Arts and Sony.com about the problems we are having in our profession?
Coming from a corporate background I know that its alot easier to hit a delete button on an e-mail than to read it. Its also alot easier to ignore our entire message board then to fix things. For all we know the devs might want to fix our profession but are being tasked with things that Sony thinks more important (i.e. player cities and mounts). Besides, every single help ticket I've ever submitted has been left unread or deleted. So why not?
The letters might get lost, misdirected or never read. But if we did get somewhere and 3,000 or so letters did show up, maybe somebody would do something about it. Rather than ignoring our small "forum" and not wanting to help our "small" profession that is only small because everybody knows is nerfed so therefore won't bother with it.
Personally I am really tired of creature handler galaxies. CH's are great, (and yes I know they are being nerfed bad) but come on. Nobody has droids. Hell the last droid I saw (that wasn't one of my own) was some sad abandoned MSE droid in a starport. It kills me. It kills me to the point where I want to take every single person involved in the creation of this game and shake them hard. I ate drank and slept Star Wars when I was a kid. And to me, star wars was all about R2 and 3PO not about the second stormtrooper from the right's dewback.
I've been playing since day one and all I got out of it was a profession that is so horribly useless that I often spend days trying to convince myself to grind more droids to level up. But why? There is no point really, because my best product is not going to be able to compete with the lowest level CH animal. I'm just sick and tired of it and I figure its time we get up and stand up, old school.

In this new era of "e"-everything, people underestimate the power of paper.
I'm fully in agreement on this one. I am admittedly at a loss for words when it comes to SOE, so I do not think I'll be writing them anytime soon. However, I have a thing or three to tell LucasArts about this game. I plan to give them some information that they may not be privvy to since theyobviously don't have as much experience with this game as we'd all like to think.
So those of us who have remained friends with the old inkpen, let's go to work!
Cheers,

I have already written my letter and sent it out. I let them know what I thought of the game in how it was released way before it was in a near finished state and how I have seen fellow players issues not being delt with in a fair way (customer service).
I also sent one of the copies to this address in hopes that it is an accurate one:
