Do you need to be a merchant or a certain profession to use maintenance droids? If not are there any options on the droid itself to show it's a maintenance droid or options on structures I own? Thanks

No there is no requirement for a Maint droid. In the droid description (when you do examine on it) it should have a maintenance rating on it. We dont really know exactly what the maintence rating means. Once the droid has beenput in your datapadyou need to go to your structure (or you need to place the structure first) and the option will pop up in the radial menu.
You should also be aware there is a major bug with this module that totally FUBARs the droid. There have been many threads on it so use your search button before you use the droid.

To be a bit more clear (no offense Ock) you need to go to your structures radial menu and you will find the option "assign droid". when you pick this option a window will open up with the name of your droid in it. pick the droid and say ok and you should be good to go. The major bug he spoke of is this: DO NOT redeed your structure while it is still assigned to the droid. Remove it from the droids list first, then destroy structure. Failure to do this will leave your droid permanently broken and you will need to buy a new one.

As someone looking at droids, what is the theoretical max on the structure management raiting so we at least know we are getting something good? So far, the higest I have seen on Eclipse is 13, which seems fairly common.
