Hi - Im quite new at being a DE, and I have a question.

I see that most make the combat droids with as much combat rating as possible, but I was planning on giving it a "repair" module (cant remeber the name, but the monule that in the description says can reapir its own wounds)

Is that unnessesary ?

and another question about a medical droid. To make those droids that a master doc can use to buff and heal wounds by - is that just a lvl 6 medical module or do I need more than one etc.

hope you can help

There are 2 kind of repair modules :

Repair module : used to heal wounds on other droids, I don't think it heal it's own wounds. I don't think it stack

Auto-repair module : when activated, the droid heal his damage for the rating of the module every 10 seconds. this one does stack, the more modules, the more the droid will heal himself every 10 seconds.

Without a repair modules, to heal wounds you'll have to ask a DE, well even with a repair module, you'll need the help of someone else.

Without auto-repair modules, the droid will heal himself slowly over time in your datapad, or you can use repair kit to heal them (like stims for droids). You don't need to be a DE to use those kits. But to use reconstruction kit, used to heal wounds, you must be a DE (don't ask me why).

For the medical modules, if you can make a level 6 medical module, you don't need to put more than one.
1 level 6 med module, is enough to reach the maximum.

Hope that help.

Just confirming what gavvot said really.

The Auto Repair module enable a Droid to heal white damage every few seconds. Depending on the quality normally between 15 and 20 per module.

A droid repair kit is like a stimpack for players, again depending on the quality they can do up to 1700 healing.

Droid reconstruction kits do the black damage. Don't really see those for sale, it's generally in the DE's interest to charge for this usage.

If you do sacrifice a Combat module for an auto repair module, remember the combat effectiveness will go down. Some customers accept this, others I have sold to prefer maximum combat damage and knowing they can buy repair kits from you.

What I tend to do as well, is have a Repair Droid, and a Power Droid in my Datapad, this enables me to offer on site healing and recharging for a fee, when necessary.

Agree again with the Medical Module, Level 6 good quality allows about 100 or so medical use, and is quite popular for medics. Although for DE's I tend to find that it's nto a massive money spinner as they go for MSE droids with a top medical module, or an advanced MSE with medical module, and crafting station.

Combat droids, funny things, many people prefer the R3 combat droid, with low combat and good autorepair. this enables them to use the droid to distract the target, taking the main damage, and them to kill from range. Again, depends on the rating of the droid though.

Hope this helps

Actually, the max medical rating is 110.

Meaning it's 110% effectiveness of an hospital. That's why Doc buy them, it increase their buff by 10%.

I think a slightly experimented level 6 is enough to reach the 110%. If I remember correctly, the rate during experiment is 2 digit. So once you've reach 11, you're good.

The usual good sell medic droid is an R2 with food crafting station, 10 item storages and medical modules, + whatever the customer want (they usually have no clue what to put there, that's why I do regular R2 and not advanced one to put on vendor).

I also do Adv R4 with the same modules (higher HAM, lower price, but people like R2).

I do 10 item storage MSE, but I don't like that alot, same with MSE medical, I prefer put lower medical modules in them and sell on the bazaar. Novice Medic like them.

I keep a bunch of 'speculative' droids on my vendor. They sell well. They basically break down into these categories.

Medical R3s, with all the bells & whistles, plus some harvest (most docs doat least someof their own creature harvesting with novice scout) - or - stim delivery, a big hit with docs that know these are 'free' heals with no mind cost and decent value with their best stim As.

Full Harvest R2s, R3s and Probots - the guys who make their credits selling havested goods really love these.

Simple storage droids with a crafting station - MSEs, R4s & R2s fit the bill here. A basic need for crafters is to be able to do their thing anywhere, should someone walk up and say, 'hey can you make a....'

Combat & Tanking - LEs, R3s and Probots, some full combat, some with a mix of auto repair and some with 1 combat, rest autorepair. I make a probot called the XP tank which is 5 autorepair mods only, it does 1 pt of damage when it attacks and therefore leavesall the xp for the kill to it'sowner while still doing decent tanking. Peoplegrinding through marksmanseem tofind these most useful.

Actually, a completely unexperimented lvl 6 medical modules will still hit the 110 rating. Use your junky resources.

Not 100% of that.

I think I once did a very very crappy medical module and it ended 100 rating.
