So I bought this Adv. Surgical Droid from some place on Valcyn near Coronet, for 8k. He doesnt seem to actually work.

I notice he has no medical rating when i look at his stats in the datapad. i was told that it sounded like he was not built with any medical modules, and i got ripped off. i have read tho, that the adv surgical droids act as if they had all modules biult in.

so, do i go yell at the dude whose vendor sold me this thing? and, if there are no med modules built into it, is it worth anything or good for anything?

If it has no medical modules installed, it cannot be used as a medical droid, end of story. It becomes an interesting looking statue at that point, really.

The key is that currently virtually ALL droid functionality comes from the modules installed in them, and some combinations of droid and module are broken. If your droid WAS indeed crafted with medical ability, then:

1) The medical capability rating was available for inspection if you examined the deed for the droid
2) If you had your droid out for ANY length of time, it likely needs to be recharged before it's medical module will work.
3) It's just barely possible that the droid 'forgot' it had medical capability. We've seen a few reports of this, but not many.

If it has no med rating, it will never function as a Surgical..looks like you need to go shout at someone...sorry to be the bearer of bad news

It might have a crafting station in it, or some storage, but other than that it is not going to be useful

hrm. oh well. live and learn. ill look for some n00b with an at-st and sell it to them.
