Thread: So I was running my custom-configured advanced insectoid protocol droid,
loading his 25 item storageslotswith droid batteries and Battle-droid deeds for sale. I programmed him to bark a simple ad, which included a list of the seven keywords I wanted him to respond to, and then programmed conversational responses for each. After accessing the merchant module to set prices (and indicate banned customers), I activated ten of the waypoints in his data storage module, and set him on patrol, and left for work
When I got home, I was pleased to see that three droids and eight battery crates had sold, and that I had several emails asking for custom orders. Unfortunately, I also had a panic-stricken email from my droid, indicating that Jawas had captured him.
I immediately pulled out a DZ70 fugitive tracker, and instructed it to find my merchant droid!
Eighteen minutes later, as I was putting the finishing touches on a new sabacc dealer for my friend who had just opened a new casino, I got an urgent missive from my DZ70, indicating the droid was on Tatooine, and including a waypoint.
I hopped a shuttle to Tat, pulled out a droideka, and had him follow me.
Those jawas never knew what hit them, my merchant droid had been only partially disassembled, and a quick repair job later, he was ready to come home with me.
"Oh, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Master. I was terrified!"
Put this on the discussion forum and see what kind of response you get.

This is the sort of game I want to play too
One can always hope I guess ![]()
Well done
Yes my friend, that sounds about the way it should be...

Very well written
This is the essence. The mantra. The ideal.
Thunderheart, take this philosophy to heart, then read the Gorantoth list. Then ask specific questions about what confuses you.
It's a lot to do, I know, but it can be done.
Bravo! This is how I've imagined it from the beginning. If I had only known, I may not have been striving to achieve DE status since the first weekend of the game.
If only my protocol could do that with a bit of programming.
If only my DZ70 Fugitive Tracker" droid did a little more than float there.
If only my R2 could hack into computer systems for me (I know, not listed here, but still).
If only my Binary Load Lifter lifted loads. They don't even have to be binary loads...![]()
My next story will be about my new Corellian freighter...
