Thread: To Debate DH/DE Is To Distort The Consensus Against a Droid Handler Profession
I just want to point out that while it is certainly possible to debate the merits of a droid handler profession, doing so distorts the fact that 95%+ of the DE community is against the idea.
There is consensus that the Droid Handler profession is the worst possible way to implement game balance. While there are two-sides to this debate, they do not hold equal shares in the market place of ideas.
Proponents of Droid Handler may like going against the grain, but note how few there are in favor of that idea.
There are many other ways to institute game balance for high end droids. Droid Handler is the only one to be completely rejected by the DE community.
I give up. Now I honestly know that they do not listen. I'll keep grinding along until the hot new MMPORG comes along.
Dev's always think they know best. Have fun finding your next job.
The only way I couldstomach a DH 'profession' is (as others have stated) it was a one branch or mini 'companion' profession with no more than four boxes, accessable to those who have either mastered an appropriate high level combat-like profession, or are master DE's. I'd still much rather see certifications, in which case the masters at the high end are going to gain the benefit anyways.
Good lord.
