Thread: The two newest ideas and a way to combine them into a potentially awesome system.
The two newest ideas are a mini-profession the is unlocked by all characters mastering an Elite or Hybrid combat profession that costs roughly 15-20 points to master. DEs would receive this for free. The other deals with droid having thier own skill trees that would be unlocked with use. What I propose is a combination of both of these plans.
The plan hasthe mini-profession idea with a few changes.Everyone will start with novice and it'll control up to level 10 droids. Also these droids could only everhave novice droid skills/attachments.
If you pick up novice brawler, marksmen, scout, or medic you can spend 5 skillpoints to unlock the next tier of droid use. Possibly level 15roger-roger droids. The droid itself could also learn it's next tier of stuff.
Novice elite/hybrid professions or master brawlers, marksmens, scouts,and medics could unlock the next tier for 5 more points, along with level 20ish droidekka and the droid's next level of skills/attachments. (Note, this is either/or. If you master brawler and get novice pike you still only get 5 points.)
Mastering the elite/hybrid professions will be 5 more points, get you the level 25IG-72, and the final combat teir for the droids.
These skills will work differently for DEs though. For DEs it will be based on how many teir 4 skills you get. If you have 1 teir 4 skill you get either the roger-roger or the first non-novice droid use tier. The 2nd teir 4 will get you the other. The 3rd and 4th tiers will work as above butat the novice elite/hybrid level. Finally master DEs get the same skills/attachments and droids as master Elites/Hybrids with one small addition. They get the last tier of combat droid use which isn't combat at all. It's the ability to add a fusion generator to your droid for a never-ending battery supply. A worthy gift, but nothing someone would climb DE for.
