Okay I was out dropping harvs when a lvl 11 Scyk lair showed up. I thought no problem, time to whip out the CL30 probot and take it out. This is a fairly new probot that I built about 2 weeks ago with 1 storage, 1 auto-repair, and 3 combat mods plus armor. I was carful not to group with it as I am a CL1 pure crafter.

Well the fighting started out well, the probot doing more damage while ranged and less when close to the mobs. 2 Scyks fell without too much trouble, but while fighting the 3rd one....poof he vanished! I checked the datapad and I had the "store" option available so he's still called out. The overhead radar map show no sign of him, and shouting the follow command didn't work. In the mean time the Scyk he was fighting ran me down and incapped me.

Allright, must be a fluke I thought. Got back on my feet, used the "store" command then called him out again. He's back and at full strength too. So I send him into battle again....to make a long story short 3 more times he vanished in the middle of a fight and eventuallyI enjoyed a nice trip to the cloner.

I have never seen this behaviour before, and the SOE forum search is once again (as usual) telling me to try again later. I was wondering it anyone else has had this problem before. I've sold a lot of body guard droids but haven't had too much experience using them, preferring flight to fight lol.

Smells like server boundry issues. Are you sure he just disappeared and didn't run off somewhere?

I suppose it could be server boundary issue. He just winked out right before my eyes, off the overhead map too. The mob he was fighting immediately turned it's attention to me each time it happened. I managed to get 1 harv down there so I can go back and try to repeat it and perhaps /bug the incident.

I must have had this problem yesterday .. couldnt think what was wrong but anyway..

Was killing some critters with my fighter so my crafter could visit her factories and thought I would see how the bomb droids work .. seeing as I sell them

Well, for some reason I couldn't get it to blow up an NPC that was spawnedundera building but thought being a newbie at that sort of thing I was doing something wrong or the house was stopping it (more on that later).

Needless to say when I wondered up to another NPC to get ready for another bomb test the droid had disappeared. With exactly the same effect as yourself. (Datapad showing store and had to store and re-call droid).

Now, Drashk, if you are reading this it might be something to do with what you were seeing last night on test center with droid calling...

Before when I used to send a droid to attack a creature or NPC under a building the droid would go through the building and kill them or draw them out. But, last night I noticed that the droid would not go through the building anymore and just shot at them from outside. Maybe just coincidence that it was an R3 that went through the wall before and a Probot didnt so will have to double check but perhaps they incorporated a floor/wall levelling recognition for pets now and this is affecting the disappearing acts ?
