Should I expect my CL 30 droid to do more damage when I'm grouped with it than when I'm not? I'm currently CL80.

Thanks for the information.

No, the droid wont increase in CL if you are higher then it. If you are lower then it, it will decrease though.

Ummm.....Going to disagree with you here

The Damage modifer is adjusted for both damage taken and damage dealt, based on the CL of the highest player in the group.

Thats what I thought it should be but when I group with my droid both him and me hit like a big girls blouse against level 10's.

Pay special attention to the bold statement.

This means that if you are below CL30, the droid will assume your CL. The Droid will take on the base CL of the highest level group member.

So, if you are Level 10, the droid will assume the bonuses of Level 10. If you are Level 10 and are in a group with some that is Level 54, the droid will assume that bonuses of a Levle 54.

I can confirm that, used a cl 30 droid vs a lvl 81 elite Boss mark, grouped he can take a few shots, ungrouped he nearly got smoked in one shot

i think i read something by the devs about this issue. The droid would downgrade if your level is under the droid, but not upgrade if you are above it.

But then again what do they know about it.

I did a decent amount of testing on this. So unless something changed, the Droid wont go up to your level. I marked the damage it dealt and received, then grouped with it as a level 80, and marked it again. Both damage dealt and received were identicle.

We also had tested it with CH pets, and it was the same thing. Which if you think about it, that makes sense. Why would anybody ever use a level 70 pet? They would just use 3 lower level pets, which would all turn into level 80s.

I'm at work now, and can't test, but those were the results I got. That was about 2-3 months ago though, so if somebody else wants to test it.

It does increase. I'm a Master CH/BH on Test Center and use 3 pets and a droid all the time in combat.

The damage modifer increases, however its just like the damage modifer increase of a nooblet group member in a group of CL80s.The damage is increased, however its not the same damage boost that a CL80 has.

A CL30 droid, by itself, will do approximately 25 - 50points of damage to a CL80, when not grouped. When grouped with a Level 80 toon, the droid will increase in damage to approximately 50 - 100points of damage.

The damage output increase has been around since at least Publish 18.

Ok I just tested to make sure I'm not going crazy. I guess I'm going crazy.

Drashk is right. By grouping the droid with my level 80, its damage about doubled and damage received was also dramitically decreased.

I didn't just make the other stuff up though, I tested it after the CU, not sure when it changed.

That means CH's can actually control 5 CL 80 things, which is uber.

I apologize for giving bad information.
