I couldn't find any info in the bugs/FAQ's/etc. either. First was someone today asked me why their combat droid rated for 200 was only doing 30 damage. I haven't built/tested/used a combat droid yet other than before the CU I had a probot with max harvesting modules that I would let use it's 1 damage point to help play tank so I'm not sure what was up with this person's droid. The other question is someone was asking me about a droid that could hold waypoints? Does that actually exist and if so what module performs that task? They said they had been told that these used to exist but they weren't sure if these still existed. Anyway hopefully you guys can give me a few answers here.

1. Combat Droids .. Not sure why it works that way but others have reported it and most likely linked to how critters attack.
2. Waypoint Holders.. Well this could probably be a data module incorporated droid. Levels 1 to 6 will allow more *datapad* items to be stored such as waypoints. Since JtL these have been used in R Droids to create an Astromech Droid for Pilots so effectively disappeared. If used in any other droid it should appear as a data module.
Hope that helped.

Ok so on the waypoint thing as long as it's NOT an R series droid it might function like the person was asking? I know on an R series as soon as you put that data module in there it's instantly an astromech that wants to be programmed with JTL commands.

data modules use to hold waypoints, but people were exploiting them and taking missions storing them into the droid and then taking more missions. so the dev's in there ultimate knowledge removed the ability for data modules to hold waypoints, now they only hold flight commands and crafting scematics.

Correct.
As for the combat droid, if the droid is a probot there's a known bug where they start doing really horrible damage/taking lots of damage.

And that bug seems to appear when the probot closes in melee range. At range, it seems to do normal damage.

Thanks for the answers guys. Also means I know not to make a probot combat droid for a guild BH looking to try one. I do have one question while we're on the combat droid topic, do combat modules stack or is it put one in and the droid is at full combat rating? I thought before the CU they stacked but it seems from some things I've been reading they don't now?
EDIT: nevermind this post lol, I was checking my bookmarked stuff first and after I replied right below was a post that exactly answered this.
