Yes, if you hit a very high point on the experimentation phase of the module it will tip over into the next level.


The result is extra functionality with the lower cost.

I haven't quantified the experimentation needed, but I tend to build a data module for the certification required then aim for a 50-60% experimentation level, so that I get what I need......L6 data modules I experiment as high as possible.

Best bet to be sure to get the level astromech you want is to use that level Data module.


So to be sure use a level 4 Data module to make a Level 4 Astromech.

and can expermintation put it over the top,


if i remember right i made lvl 2 data mods in both lvl 2 & 3 pilot droids, simply by my expermentation.


been awhiles since i was a DE so i for got some hehe
