I've been preaching patience for a long time to everyone here on this board, but evenI must admit I was somewhat dissapointed with the lack of attention to the droid issues for this patch. Oh well... hopefully for our patience we will be rewarded with all the fixes/changes soon.

I wonder if our profession is reallybeing ignored (which would be baffling to me) or if it's just harder for them to actually fix the DE profession and Droid problems...

Well they've ignored us for a long time now. They might be actually "grinding" to fix the profession behind closed doors and they could be doing it all at once. Then again thats just theory and they could've been doing jack squat this entire time I think they're trying to fix the whole profession at once and its taking awhile to add the new content / fix bugs and make sure it works before it hits the TC.

that sounds fairly plausable, but none the less, they'd better fix it next patch.

We did get a good chunk of love in this patch, imho. Permadeath gone. BH Droids with charges. Factories fixed (they've been fixed for a few days now - thanks dev's!).

Several professions got much less love.

I'm happy to see progress on any level. They seem to be getting in gear and addressing lots of issues (this was a pretty big patch in a relatively short time-frame).

I doubt the devs would claim its being ignored, they wouldnt claim that it was put on the back burner either..although the attention DEs have received since release has been a total,"your issues are important but not as important as the thousands of CH and BH players we have in game". We are on the back burner, just look at the fixes and attention we have received since release...that says it all. They will fix customization next patch, after that, plan on waiting atleastanother 2 months for new battle droids and content to cometo the DE profession. I personally cant justify paying them anymore money for the DE profession. It would mean I paid them money for overhalf a year for basically nothing, the people arriving in 3 more months or willing to wait it out should be fairly happy though.

ARG! I feel I must put my 2 cents in somewhere before I cry. I am a bit new to the game, only playing 6-7 weeks now and decided to go droid dude because we didn't have one in our group and it looked cool. That was about one week before perma death patch. I said what the heck, lets see what happens. They have to make this profession good for something so I will continue. I was not gonna jump on the CH wagon with the other 90% of the known population. I refuse to have a pet actually just cause everyone does. Its kinda like pop music, if everyone likes it, it prolly sucks.

Well so now we get another decent sized patch andI read and scrolled down the list with great anticipation. Having read in the forums what sounded like the devs were really working on fixing the DE prof. Reading all the cool improvments and some good nerfs, for that matter on the present patch, and like a kid at christmas justwaiting to get to the Droid Engineer changes. Well the page stopped scrolling before I got there! My heart sunk and my great urge to log on and check things out turned into a compelling urgeto write a long flaming rant. I have shown maturity and not written a rant but more of as the topic states, my feelings of disappointment.

Come on devs surely you can see DEs do not have a very marketable product, especially at the low levels help us! This prof could be so cool and in the real SW line of things I remember seeing my more droid related things than creature related things. Why have CHs been given so much power? Robots even in this day and age can be made 100 times more powerful than any creature on the planet if we really wanted to put our minds to it.

Another question and rant that may be ignored if this has been fixed. But is experimentation fixed on droids yet and doing anything? If not is this going to be fixed or is this by design. I have read our list of bugs and have trouble figuring out what the real case here is at this point.
If this is not fixed or by design...WHY? Come on of course someone can a better droid than someone else. Of course maybe my armor plates come out better than yours...why the heck not?Why can't my droid have more HAMs then the next guy if someone weapon can o more damage than mine?I am sure this has all been said before but I just can't find any decent answers in the forum, basically cause the search function on this board is major fubar.

Well I feel a bit better now and I will stay DE a bit longer, I have to start dropping other skills now so I will be bummed if there aren't changes soon.

I hope by next patch you don't mean the monthly patch... I want to see DE fixed ASAP. If they can make all these changes to CH, Weaponsmith, etc. all the time, what's the holdup with DE?

Well, I must say I was dissapointed with the patch in a DE's perspective, but oh well. There's lots of things to do.

This is total BS!!!

I cannot believe this, they promised us the "huge number of new combat droids" would appear "in the next big patch"!!! WHERE ARE THEY???

...sure permadeath is gone and that is fine, but that should have never been in there in the 1st place, so I count that as 0 "improvement"

oh anyone else noticing that durability always winds up as ZERO on crafted droids now? or is it just 4 in a row bad luck? I got sick of seeing that zero come up everytime and came in here to confirmothers are seeing it. Please post here if you also see it.

This did not come as a surprise to me because I read the dev tracker forum now (first link in red above all other forums in the forums main page).

Everything goes through test center first, and they post what changes are added to test center as they add them. For the past few weeks in test center, there was nothing about more droid content or even much bug fixes (permadeath gone... but it was gone before, so this is just a revert of a change, not a new feature per se).

So while I am disappointed like you guys, it was spread out over more time as I kept track of the test center changes and slowly realized that we weren't gonna get much in this patch.

I encourage you guys to be like me and spread your disappointment out over time, too!
