I heard that some of the skill tapes you can get don't work. Does anyone have a list of DE skill tapes i should stay away from, or get? I am on the Shadowfire server. I just started DE and I am looking to buy some skill tapes. If anyone knows anyone who is selling some please let me know.
Also is there any clothes you can make/loot that will give you pluses to DE other than the bandolier (sp).

You only need to worry about 2 tapes. Droid Experimentation and Droid Assembly.
As for the looted clothing I'm not sure, I rarely have the time to get out and hunt so most of my stuff is bought off of merchants.

No there aren't any other DE specific clothing other than the Droidsmith's tool set Bandolier.

actualy i got one awhile ago, for droid complexty...it comes up under my skill mods, but if u mouse over it it says that its an erronus value

I never understood that choice of clothing.....
As a Droid Engineer I need an extra house to take my backpack full of parts off just to put the bandolier on. We by FAR have the highest number of parts for any profession, and the only clothing that drops to help us nerfs our ability to craft comfortably.
Oh anyone reading this and collecting tapes, here's a tip you'll appreciate.
DO NOT put two tapes of the same type in any piece of socketed clothing - the second one will poof. I lost a +8 experminatation tape learning this....

Actually I think the case is that the HIGHEST number takes precedance regardless of the order. So you can upgrade tapes but not stack them.

Reeeeeeaalllly, I would be very interested in something like that if it is in fact for DE's. I have seen clothing that gives a bonus to (something like) Droid Control or Droid Tracking but these are for BHs, not DEs. If this belt you are talking about gives a bonus to experimentation or assembly I would be very interested in finding something like it.

I have a +20 de experimentation outfit and so far only a 6 assembly belt and the tailor made bandolier for +5assembly/experimentation.

Wow where are you guys finding these clothes? I have been searching all over Ahazi and have never seen anything above a +3 on any droid skill for sale. Did you guys loot these yourselves? Did someone mae them for you? The Robe above does not list a creator so I assume it is looted but from whom?

Just a reminder, though. Droid customization does indeed work. It gives you a larger palette. I have a suit with a bunch in the extra slots with my experimentaion and assembly SEAs and my rating is now up to 81. The palette is lovely.
Not necessary or anything. Just really really neat.

If I am not mistaken a Master DE gets 100 customization, and you don't get any bonus from going higher.
