Thread: Droid Engineering Depends on other profession?

First off, I want to say that I have looked in every DE F.A.Q. and didn't find the helpI need. And now over to my question:
I've heard that the droid engineer profession depends on the other crafting profession when it comes to components. You need components from the other crafting professions. Is this true, and in that case, what components is it that i should stock up on (becoming a droid engineer)?
If I have missed out on this in the F.A.Q., I apologize.

Well... you need quite a few trinkets:
From Master Artisans- GP modules, Memory modules, micro sensor suites and Control units (These really should be moved to Engineer IV, makes no sense to have them in Master. But that'll never happen I am sure)
From Architects - Power Core Units
From Armorsmiths - Composite Armor Segments
From Musicians - Dual Wave Synthezisers

And add to that... you will need LOADS AND LOADS UPON LOAD OF LOADS of GP- and memory-modules, just so that you know

Dual Wave Synthezisers? Why do I need sissy girl things to make manly droids? 
oh yeah, and those things u listed, is that everything i need from other professions or are there more?

The dual wave synthezisers are for the entertainer playback modules. So if you plan on making droids for entertainers you should get a few of those.
Anything else you'll be needing beside the ones I listed? Hmm, nope I don't think that you do.
And you only need the synths if you plan on making playback modules, the power core units are for the power droids only and the armor segments for high level armor.
But you WILL be needing all the Master Artisan items I assure you.
