I just wanted to hear what you guys thought about this idea.

What if you guys could make a droid that could be used as a mobile vendor? Like you can equip an R2 with a "vendor module" and then whoever owns the droid can place a limited number of items on it to sell. Then you can just call your droid out and people can use it and buy things from you directly from your droid.

Of course you would have to be a certain level merchant and it wouldnt have the full capabilities of a regular vendor, but it would be a nice way to take your wares to different locations and definately reduce the spam in front of starports.

The problem i see with this is that you would have 50 droids lined up outside the starport because all their vendors told them to stay. Maybe you could make them have to be within a certain range of you. Just something to make these not replace regular, stationary vendors.

This would definately bring in some profit for you DE's from all us other crafters out there, and i think we would all like it.

So lets hear what you guys think about it.

I was thinking some some thing like that the other day.... nice idea but perhaps u could make it open to ether Business 4, Master Artisan or Novive Merchant

Perhaps have Merchants craft the vendor component?

You see this as a problem?? I personally would much rather see 50 droids in front of the star port instead of 50 grauls and rancors.

It is a nice idea. It would be a Looong time for implementation even if the devs considered doing it.

merchants aren't supposed to craft anything. Just make the component require a personality chip an advanced droid brain(for convinceing a customer to buy), and a droid storage compartment(for holding the stuff). Then give novice merchant the ability to use the module and you are all set i think. or put it on the hiring or management tree.
