Anybody but me noticing how droids wont hold mob aggro anymore? I can stand back and watch one of my droids beat down a mob (to any % health) - if i run up and smack it once, mob will turn and start hitting me instead. Same thing if I stand back and shoot the mob, with as little as one shot, it will turn and start attacking me instead.

It's been working for me. Make sure your droid isn't out of power. Also if you hit the lair and it respawns some defenders they may track on you insteadof your droid if you are closer to it then the droid and attacking. This happens maybe 10% of the time for me when I do this. Sometimes if I back off and peace they will go for the droid again.

I noticed it too when I was in Fort Tuskan. I let my droid start his business, and as soon as I start in on the same one, he will turn towards me and I watch my HAM's drop by a third every time!

Also, you can have your droid hit the lair. This usually keeps them more mad at him then you.

I think if you're not grouped with your droid the aggro switch is less likely to happen. Try that and see if it helps.

I haven't noticed any significant changes to the pet's ability to hold aggro. Specifically, my alt is a BH/CH in training, and is typically using 3 pets when killing bounties for investigation xp (still working on the first boxes... takes forever) - a level 17 Bantha, level 10 Lesser Plains Bol, and an R3 droid with 4 combat and 2 scout harvesting modules.
Even while shooting the NPCs with my LLC (which typically does more damage then the pets do), the target usually remains fixated on the pets, though typically the Bantha takes the most hits.
