Well I have been a Master DE for two weeks or so and I still have not figured out how to name droids. I tried when you do the final build but when I ready the droid unit it losses its name any help is much appreciated thanks.

The only way to name droids in your datapad (that you've "Readied") is to program 4 of the commands using the format:
"/say <DroidName> <command for what you're programming (i.e. "Store", "Group" or whatever)>
"/say <DroidName> <command for what you're programming (i.e. "Store", "Group" or whatever)>
or
"/tellpet <DroidName> <command for what you're programming (i.e. "Store", "Group" or whatever)>
If you do that for 4 commands, the droid should learn its name.
Now, if you want the droid listed a particular way on your vendor, you'll need to do that at the final crafting stage for the deed. Most DEs use a standard naming convention for what's installed. For example:
"R2 (Med): Food/Chem, 110Med, 10-Item, 2 StimpackDisp, Level6 armor"
Hope this helps!

Just remember you can't name "converse" type droids (LE Repair, Protocol, Surgical) and you can't use numbers...we wouldn't want you to name your droid R2D2.

No...unfortunately not. Apparently, it'd be weeks worth of work to allow more 'droidy' naming.
