Sorry I'm grinding but this info is not in the FAQ at the top of the board (that I could see).

Could anyone tell me where to find a trainer please ?

Open your planetary map.
Go into guild hall.
Pick university.

Find the closest, make a wp and go check.
Normaly there is always a DE trainer in a university.
Same with all the elite crafting prof in fact.

Alternatively do a /find and select Trainer: Droid Engineer fomr the pop up window. It will automatically put a WP to your closest DE Trainer on the planet you are on.

I thoguht only novice profession trainers showed up in the /find window, unless they changed something.

I don't think it works.

/find only work with the category you have in planetary map.

And on planetary map, even if you do have trainers, those are only basic profession trainers.

/find then university on the other hand should work.
