For a Probot:

Best HAM is 3200
Best Damage is 191-181
Best speed is 0.75 (if you have good HAM, you'll have good speed).
Best Armour is 20% resistance to all but Lightsaber (no armour rating). After the first call if you examine the droid it will say 40%, but that is just a display bug. It's still 20%.

For an R3:

Best HAM is 4500
Best Damage is 160-170
Best Speed is 1.5
Armour is the same as above.

With the LE Repair

Best HAM is 6000
Best damage is (I think) 80-90
Best speed is again 1.5
and Armour still the same.

Yeah I tend to recommend probots to my customers as the best all-out brawler. Excellent ranged damage, lightning quick shots, and usually it'll try to keep range between itself and the target. Usually. Did I mention, usually?

The only combat droids i make are Probots. Just does not feel right making a R series a combat droid, and they do have that habit of running sometimes.

Since they fixed the firing rate on the Probots, I'd have to say that the Probot ADV is the best one. It always fires from ranged and you can use it even if your a master combat profession as supplemental damage dealing assuming your the one doing the tanking.

Now if they would change the AI on it so that it moves around more and keeps itself out of melee range of its target, it would be doing much better.

The LE is a decent tank droid for a low level character. But god, it runs so slow that you might as well figure on storing and calling each time you move locations. Otherwise, it feels like your trying to drag a ship anchor behind you waiting for it to follow you.

Frankly, I don't understand why a flying droid like the Probot isn't fast enough to follow its owner while the owner rides a swoop. After all, the damn thing flies, doesn't it? It's suppose to be faster than a ground vehicle.
