I explain VERY carefully to people that they have no use whatsoever... It's not a cheap purchase by any means, although I guess 50K credits isn't THAT bad in this world... Yet folks WILL buy them.

I guess the advertising potential makes the investment worthwhile.

Heh. Yeah, my supply of duranium is fading fast. If I had a large market for BLLs, I would perversely have to raise prices to slow sales until I could find some more duranium steel...

Which reminds me, I should really hit up my suppliers for some...

you'd be surpised what you can find on the bazaar, especially when you click on search planet and search galaxy.

50k? wow... you're selling them very cheaply. Depending on the mood I'm in, normal ones are 150k-200k. I've sold a few as walking billboards.

I've sold quite a few of them myself, mostly chassis as how decorations, walking billboards, practical jokes (painting them pink made this work well), and some people just want them. Granted, the resources for them have been easy for me to come by, so I only charge 30k for them. They were great when I was working on xp still, since I got 4k per sale for them.

50K makes me a decent profit on a basic BLL, even after I take into account the rare materials. In fact, my 'friends and family' price is barely over 30K, and that still won't lose me any cash.

I've found that my 'gut feel' prices for droids are generally within 15 or 20% of my calculated spreadsheet values, which put a basic BLL at 55650, and an advanced BLL at 86880.

I may bump prices up a bit, but it's not like there's enough demand that I need to suppress it.

Ironically, I've been meaning to modify my prices. I have a new spreadsheet and whatnot developed, but when I go into the game I'm super busy making droids. LOL Ironically, my spreadsheet lowers 95% of my droids too.

Your 'friends and family' price is about 5k less than what I charge for the Advanced BLL, but then again an Advanced Probot with 2 modules and max armor goes for an average of 15k on Shadowfire.

We, the DEs on Shadowfire, have been lucky on the Duranium front, having 2 or 3 shifts of the rare steel, after months without it. I just wish Lidium Extrusive ore would show itself again.

I've sold a total of8 Advanced BLL-boards in over a months time. 4 of which were random buys off the vendor. I even named them Advanced Armored BLLboards and listed in the discription that they didn't have any functions. What shocked me was the day that I had someone request 2 BLLs and a then a few days later I recieved an E-mail thanking me for them.....

One guy bought one from me a few weeks ago, I carefully explained that it had no use other than as a walking billboard, but he was really wanting one. I didn't feel like making it, so I quoted the guy an extremely high price for one. Well, much to my amazement, the guy agreed to pay 300k for one, without even trying to talk me down on the price. To this day, that's the only BLL I've sold.

Apart from the steel requirements, I don't mind making BLLs. I have factory crates of all the subcomponents, so the multiple motive systems and such are a piece of cake.

Of course, I could look at it as losing six probots' worth of motive systems, so maybe I should charge more...

Just a bit. Even more shocked when the one I've had sitting on the vendor for the past three weeks is suddenly not there. Happened to me last night. Guy came in looking for one and I pointed him at the vendor. Wasn't on there! Hmmm... didn't get an email saying someone had purchased it, so that's rather odd. Made up one on the spot for him though and a couple more for the vendor.
