Thread: Hehehe... I'm having sooo much fun :D
First, the first four questions answered by TH were posed by me. w00t!
1.) Is it a bug/exploit or intended that you can stack general module socket clusters together (allows for infinite stacking) as well how they fit into the droid. What's the word on this?
Yes it is a bug and a fix is in progress.
I TOLD YOU SO!!!
Heheh... I've been wanting to do that for a while. ![]()
hehe... I'll concede that you may be right. I wish I could concede the entire thing. I can't tell whether the answer is in reference to the stacking of Cluster modules, or to using them in general sockets.
Let's hope they get that 'fix' in place soon.
Waaahaaahaaa!
Big deal, that's what at least 90% of the boards were saying.
Whether they exploited it or not.
I'm just glad we get this in line so we don't have these freakin super-MSE for 1K.
People were advertising that they could do this and selling droids that way. Now when I tell people they're exploiting I can point them to TH's thread. ![]()

I'm not high enough up the DE food chain to know this for sure, butdoesn't a cluster modulebasically give you4 more general sockets? If that's the case, then if they fixed the fact that cluster modules can fit in general sockets, there would be no more stacking. Both problems solved. How is this a two-part question?

The bug was that you could put a cluster module in any generic module socket, so you could put it in a lets say an MSE... so you could have overpowered MSEs with full armor, full item storage, full data storage, a couple of crafting modules and so on ![]()

Right so if they fix that, doesn't that automatically preclude stacking of cluster modules? Stick a cluster module in a cluster module socket, gain some general module sockets. If you want to stack another cluster module, where are you going to put it, if all you have now are general module sockets and the cluster modules no longer fit there?
Maybe it's too early in the morning for me to be thinking... LOL
Lets go with a mouse droid. It has a module slot. You can put a cluster into it. That cluster has room for 3 module slots. In slot 1, I put in a cluster that has a crafting station, repair kit, one level 4 data module. In slot 2, I put in a cluster withtwo level 4 medical modules and 1 level 4 data module. In slot 3 I put in a cluster with two level 4 storage modules.
The using two level 4's to get the effectiveness of 1 level 6 is working as intended... the use of the clusters is not.

No, you're right... The thing is I think (please note, thats just my thought) socket modules shouldnt be stackables... an R2 have one cluster module slot = 3 module slots, thats all; the more cluster socket slots, the more modules you can put in the droid (I cant make adv R2s so not sure how many cluster slots they have
). If you can just stack cluster modules to put whatever you want in a droid, why do we have advanced models?

The 1-star was because this is a useless thread. I one-star anything that doesn't promote constructive conversation in this forum.

I find it interesting that a few of the same people that have been arguing that the clusters have been working as intended all along are now asking if the bug also includes fiting into non-General Module Cluster Sockets. I think that the question that you asked and the answer that was recieved can be read to state that bothpartsof the Cluster Modules were part of the bug. Its ironic thatthose same fewcan read the discription of the Socket and Module listing and interpret the information one way, but when given new information, they are unable to interpret what is written because it goes against what they wish to believe.
The problem with the finite stack of the Cluster Modules inside an MSE is about to get a whole lot worse, with the changes currently on TC, that will be going Live in a few short days. Before, the MSE was limited to only one Crafting station, if you wanted them to work correctly. Now that you will be able to put all 4 crafting stations intoa single droid, along with all of the other modules, this exploit will be running rampant.

That's what TH's post was about... that it is a bug and abusing it is an exploit. FYI Adv R2s have room for 5 (1 cluster, and 2 modules).
