Thread: No artisan will give me an answer so what is a power core unit that I need?
Some are telling me power conditioners other are telling me to kill meatlumps to get Power Cores.
sigh, I just wanna make a droid and cant get any Power Core Units.
Can someone tell me the exact name of the component I need and what level Artisan can craft it?
They are indeed under housing I in the architect line. If you don't have a good buddy architect, good luck finding someone to make these things for you. They take sub components to build sub components to build yet another sub component to go into the power core unit. On top of that, they take tons of low grade ore, copper and aluminum to build just about every component.
I ended up taking architect to build just these stupid things and stock piling them until someone actually asks for a power droid. I think I have sold a total of two power droids since launch.
I actually dropped 11 points of rifle, and took Architect up to House 1, then I got a structure factory and did a run of 118 Power cores, then dropped Architect and took up rifle again.
I still have over 100 of them as a Dev recently mentioned that Power Droids may soon be able to power Harvesters. If this is true, I want to make sure I have enough power cores to meet what I hope will be a large demand.
Although, the Novice Architect skill did come in handy since I was able to build my own Small Equipment Factory and floor-model Weapon, Droid & General Crafting Unit. The equipment factory is necessary for making the advanced droid brain. I just wish they would give us more skill points to work with. Every time I advance up the DE tree I have to drop a valuable skill somewhere else in order to free up skill points.

It is lame, by the way, that we have to waste skill points to delve into the architect profession just to be able to craft certain things in our profession. Power Core Unit schematics should be available to Master Artisans.

What you dont or fail to undersdtand IS.... the Devs didnt make this so you would dabble in different lines ...although it doesnt hurt to see the other sides... they meant for this to happen so people would rely on other people for help, and form bonds and business alliances, and so forth that what they meant by doing it the way they did.

The problem with this statement is that ONLY the droid engineer has this cross-class problem. We are the only ones that require items made by other crafting classes to complete our droids. Composite Armor segments from Armorsmiths and Power Core Units from the Architects. The only thing we have to sell from our DE tree is the Droid Storage Compartment which isn't really required to build a craft station....it's optional.
This would be a fair statement if the reverse was true, but it isn't.

Don't forget the Protocol Chassis needed for the Shuttleports. Limited business I know, but it is a requirement ![]()
