Thread: How do repair droids work or do they?
how does one use a repair droid?
i been fumbling around trying to figure out how to repair other droids with my repair droid
Make sure your droid with the repair module has power.
Target the other droid you want to repair.
Issue the /repair command.
Note: the chasis named Repair droid does not inherrently repair. You must use a droid that has a repair module built into it.
Ixiwic, if you are refering to the LE repair droid, you won;t be able to get it to repair another droid at this time. All humanoid droids, including the LE, Protocol droid, and Surigical droid, do not have the option to repair other droids, listed in the command radial. Even in a repair module is placed into a LE repair droid, it will not give the option to repair another droid. The Power Droid is also lumped into this group, more than likely do to the fact that it already has a built in function.
When a repair module is added to any other droid, it will have a programming option in the radial. With this command; you can target another droid, issue the repair command, and the wound damage on the target droid will be repaired. Two items that need to be pointed out, 1) The droid with the repair module must be charged and 2) the repair module does not repair the normal (white bar) damage.
I then made an R5 with a repair module, and it repaired droids just great. You have to teach it the repair command (just like any other command). Then you select the damaged droid, issue the command and the R5 (or whichever you use) should move over to it and fix it. Pretty slick, actually.
May i recomend the Treadwell 
. It got the looks for a perfect repair tool.. and have to be of some use hehe.
