Someone told me in-game that this change has been confirmed on Test Center. Droids' usefulness asadvertisements and ashysterical comic devices whensicced on strangers ("Im-with-stupid"), the two primary functions of droids in mypersonal experience,would be defeated with this change. Are droids really useful enough in their other functions that I canhelp feeling devastated, or should we rise up as a community to protest this being taken away from us?

I sell enough droids in a week to believe that there must be people out there who find them useful beyond being mobile signs.

Patrolling Agrilat Swamp birdies and othercreative uses of patrols would beundermined as well. I really think this isa shameful thing.

This was a bug that I reported on in this forum and the TC forum. It was a short lived bug that has been fixed. A droid, or pet, will no longer auto-store. The pathing issues when a server border is reached still exist, but I have not had a droid auto-store for many days now. This even includes traveling to other planets. The Droid will faithfully wait in the spot that it was left, until your return.

I've also tested this recently on live and the droids don't autostore here either. And retested after the recent big patch. Everything's still working fine.
