Sonow vehicles are live and people start complaining how expensive they are to run is there any hope that we, the droid engineer community, have been considered in a potential profit market?

Can LE Repair Droids repair vehicles at all?

Nope - vehicles can only be repaired at a garage

The reason for this has been revelead by TH. Vehicles enable people to run missions much faster and thus introduce money to the game more quickly. To balance this out the current decay system was designed as was the reapir costs and the fact that you can only have 1 vehicle in your datapad (to stop you swapping between them rather than repair)

Thus if DEs were able to repair vehicles (for themselves for free) this creates a cash acumulator with no sink - under _normal_ circumstances this would be acceptable but since we have so few markets as it is it would have been nice to be able to undercut the garage and make some money.

IMO this doesnt bode well for the future of the repair module (i.e. always limited to repairing other droids) and does contradict the continuity in this respect

2 things i would have done to get arround this

1) introduce an amount of time to repair a given vehicle (similar to healing wounds) - you cant simply click the droid and click repair for instant fix (like you can at a garage) this would essentially make droid engineers charge for the privilage because they dont want to be repairing vehicles for the rest of there lives!

2) Set the build of garages in player cities to require a LE Repair droid like the shuttle port requires a protocol droid.

may not be much but at least its something /sigh
