Why do you want to put armor in an R2?

Not really a combat droid, only used for crafting/storage. Seems a waste of resources to me. At least until they duct-tape lightsabers to the domes of R2's !!

Armor modules are like any other module, the do stack together but they cannot exceed the effectiveness of a single level 6. Putting 2 level 6 plates in a droid would not have any more effect than 1 level 6 plate.

Some droids have the slots for multiple plates so that multiple lower level plates can be stacked, in case you cannot make a level 6 plate for some reason or in case you want to save a level 6 plate for a droid with only one armor slot.

Ok sence I am on a roll this time around with questions I been curious. Going off a R2 droid theres 2 armor module slots. Is there a benifit for putting say 2 types of armor modules in a droid. So say you put 2 level 6's in there. What type of bonus you looking at or say put 2 level 5's or 4's or mix those up. Would there be any noticeable effect in the long run?

One level 6 will max out all the armor/resists, adding more armor won't get you anything.
