Saw the post regarding the Imperial Crackdown, and I'm already working on a new advertisement for a "smuggling droid" to get you past those imperial troops looking for contraband. We should see what else we can get with this publish....

They should make ST's scan for illegal combat droids too. Ban R2's with blaster cannons

Time to put in "smuggling" Compartments into our products.

mainly its just a droid with a storage compartment in it (I'm assuming the troopers won't find anything in there). The advertisement part of it is fairly RP, but its nothing new.I tend to make all my droid advertisements sound like bad late night infomercials, this one will probably run something to the effect of "Tired of being harassed by the local authorities? Don't want them finding your latest "purchase"? Get a smuggling droid today and keep your business your own!". Its little uses like these that make this profession so great (even in our buggy status). I've got an entire toolbar set up with various advertisements similar to this.

Oh, and on a side note, I love the idea of this patch too. The fact that even though I haven't taken sides I may still be harassed by stormtroopers is great. The empire is supposed to go after people just because they can, thats what makes them the empire, and they are an integral part of this era in star wars.

What is cool is that this RP content is being added at the same time they are GETTING RID OF the 1% decay penalty for PvP combat.

Today has been a GOOD day.

Now if they will just give us a look at the DE plan...

keep telling yourself that. unless your the emperor yourself you are a threat to the empire and there fore atarget....

I'd say that as long as you are overt, your combat droid should be perfectly legal. That is to say that your rank is showing you as an Imperial officer/trooper and should not subject you to searches by Storm Troopers. To the Empire, why would anyone besides spies be covert? If yer covert, you must be hiding something...Imperial or not

even overt imperials have to follow imperial rule. Imperial officers live in constant fear of their superiors. Everyone should have the possibility of being searched, though I could see imperials having the option of paying x faction points for each item (similar to insurance) to be "ignored".

I wouldn't mind being searched so long as I get an "uhh... I'm sorry Sir. I'll be going about my bussiness".

The droids will be good for hiding my spice from the bucketheads. There are enough random imperial patrols as it is.
