I have tried a few times, both with pets and droids. I've never noticed a difference in behavior towards the new friend, radials don't change, converse doesn't become available, orders are not followed.
So what's the deal?

I've been wondering this myself. My impression was that the 'befriend' option would allow you to 'loan' your droid to someone else. However, it doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone know how this works?

My presumption is that a befriended droid would respond to commands, and perhaps allow for access to storage modules and such.
Of course, there's no 'unfriend' command, so it's not as though I could use that for private vendor transactions...
Nonetheless, a hunting party that had multiple droids out, all responding to the leader's commands as well as their owners', would just be fun.

I thought befriend let the other ppl command it, idk, i think DE's at master should be able to call 2 droids at once, maybe three if they worked if like CH with the max challenge lvl's. Im close to master doc/rifleman, i just think it would be a cool thing for you guys

That was the way I understood it too. However, it doesn't seem to work. Has anyone successfully tested this?
