It would be sort of like the power droid, only when attached to a harv it would lower maintenence while raising energy costs.

There are repair droids, they just don't repair. You have the LE and I think that one low one with the arms on top was somthing kind of maintance droid in the movies

Never happen, the Devs are obsessed with removing money from the game economy and having a droid that prevents harvesters from charging maintenance would counter that.

I do like the proposedidea of power droids attaching themselves to power the harvesters. I've already got a deal with one architect that if this change goes in he'll give me3 power cores for every power droid I supply him with. Which is win win for both of us, he frees up several slots he has allotted to fusion reactors, I get cores to make enough power droids for myself and to sell.
