Thread: Funny Holocron description of our profession and a few fix ideas.
"There is no doubt the importance of droids in the Star Wars universe is crucial. This is no different in SWG."
LOL!! Gee, seems to me like more people have pets than droids. I see about 1 droid for every 50 pets. I can't even sell a droid. No one wants a droid. Droids are for the most part useless or not significant enough for other professions. And people know this too, that's why they don't buy.
In my opinion, the last patch plan is only a band-aid for this huge open sore of a profession, and it's being applied in the wrong place. There are issues that do make me happier that will be addressed, but nothing that overjoys me enough to recommend this profession. How about giving us more combat droids, like droidekas with about 8-10K of HAM? Or a trade federation droid? Our profession would be a benefit to a lot of people then. How about things like requiring R2's to unlock certain doors and access building schematics? How about having protocol droids translate languages people haven't learned yet when the protocol droid is told to translate a specific person or having protocol droids translate R2 languages (we'd need to have 2 droids out at once then). How about ITO interrogation droids that force information out of certain people (NPC's)? What about probes being told to traverse to a waypoint on the map, then come back to the starting waypoint, and report any Rebel/Imperial bases along the way? These are just a few ideas, but these ideas would probably make our profession a very well liked one.
