Thread: Some wingnut on discussions wants a Droid Handler class.....again.
I think it's an absolutely BRILLIANT idea!!!
I hope the devs get to work right away swapping out all creature lairs with droideka nests. I bet before christmas they could rework the scouting trees for droid only traps, instead of those worthless creature traps. The hunting tree is already a perfect fit for it - noone equates hunting to creatures anyway; it's always been about hiking into the wilds of Endor and sneaking up on that little cute baby R2 while your friends keep the parents distracted. And the possibilities of droid mounts? Tell me you never wanted to ride C3PO (no golden fantasy jokes from any of you Bentframe listeners out there).
Face the facts guys. BIO engineers are in the game for the shoppers/purchasers, DH's should be in the business of finding and raising all the cool droids, and you all know it. You just make them, what the hell would you know about controlling them anyway? That'd be like saying an engineer/programmer is more suited to use/demo his/her product thantheir company's PR reps.
As a 3/4/4/3 BH, I've been Happily buying crates upon crates of seekers and arakyds from my DE for a while now, and to think I was actually grateful for his service. All I can say is if they implement DH's, I'd drop medic in a heartbeat to take it up just for the chance to raise and train my very own seekers.
Or did I miss something? We're not talking about Star Wars droids (the mechanical automotons built and programmed for their functions) are we?Just talking about a new type of mob they're releasing on the hunter planets to suppliment CH's, right?
Bah! You guys whine too much - I'd like to see you guys spend a whole afternoon working up the xp to handle a GSP orgrand wrix. You guys have probots for pete's sake! I mean come on, that's an extra 810 ham points right there.
On a serious note, it would be kind of cool to see all the kill stealers park their ass under a tree and send in droidekas to drop kimos and krayts, just for a nice change of scenery from all the graul maulers, wouldn't it?
The first DE that takes any of that seriously, I will come to your server and slap you with a mouse droid myself!
