I was wondering if there is any market for crated Droid Subcomponents... such as EMM, EGPM, Energy Distributors and such.

I know that, as a MDE, I sometimeswish I didnt have to build the blasted things and could just "get on with" the assembly of my droids.

So... the question is... If a vendor were available that contained nothing but large quantities of crated droid subcomponents, would you be willing to buy them?

Thank you in advance for your input (presuming I get any)

Total loss of annual revenue (SOE): ~$715US to ~$900US
- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.

I'd say probably not, most DE's go through enough of them that its not practical to buy the actual crates (more for transportation reasons than anything else), you're better off selling schematics.

Definitely a market for EMM and EGPM, and also energy distributors. Just gotta ask around :-) Architects use some of those items and I have had several requests for those items from armorsmiths (psg's) and weaponsmiths (no idea!) Put them on a vendor and I bet you will sell a few :-)

Two accounts cancelled due to lack of Dev interest

I actually had an Artisan Parts vendor when I was on Tarq, and I sold SOME parts and crates, but I never had the chance to advertise the fact much before I moved.

I bet if you actually did a little meet-the-face networking, by approaching members of the other professions that needed the parts and informing them of your services, you could get something going.

It might start pretty slowly, but you have to keep the vendor stocked with everything they'll need or they'll just be wasting their time.

Most of my components went for 200cr single or crated simply because that's what I saw them going for elsewhere, except for the droid storage compartments and micro sensor suites w/ wiring harnesses which went for 1000cr. Hey, if an architect is going to take a 3K crafting station and turn it into a 30k-40k crafting station, they can afford 1K for a part or two....

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I'm glad I read this thread.

I almost didn't because theSubject was so generic.

Didn't really state a topic......
