I have a partial list of what the specs are for the armor, medic, data, and item modules. Would like to finish it out.

Armor:

L1 Light ?

L2 Light 25% ?

L3Light 40%

L4 Medium ?

L5 Medium 25% ?

L6 Medium 40%

Data space:

L1 20

L2

L3

L4 100

L5 125

L6 150

Item space:

L1 1

L2 2

L3 4

L4 6

L5 8

L6 10

Medic:

L1 35%

L2 65%

L3 75%

L4 85%

L5 100%

L6 110%

Cluster modules are not exploits. They are fixes for the **edit**ty resource system. We still can't make L5/6 data or item storage modules on Gorath because we never got dioxis gas or indium ore.

A proper resource system would provide base elements which are combined to create alloys. The properties and quality would be defined by the amount of refining and ratio of the elements blended.

Cluster modules, in and of themselves are not exploits.

Stacking multiple low-level modules of a given type, in order to gain greater functionality, is not an exploit.

However, these two features, combined with the bug that allows clusters to fit into general harnesses DO allow for exploitive droids to be crafted. Any probot with three or more functions is an exploit. Any MSE with every possible module is an exploit. Clusters are meant to fit only into a limited number of droid types, and these are the only place they should be used. Soon we won't have the choice.

If you put clusters into a probot, or you put clusters into other clusters, THAT is exploiting a bug, and that ability will be going away very shortly, as of the next publish unless I'm very badly mistaken.

With the bug removed, stacking is suddenly a REAL tradeoff. You are forced to lose a slot in order to stack two similar modules together.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

I actually confirmed all these recently because I wanted a baseline for comparing changes post-patch. I also tried experimenting with some of the lower level modules (quality of resources, experimentation points) and did not see ANY final impact. For example, when I was experimenting with Medical Modules, I saw the following:

Single Module

DMM1 (8) 1 55 Poor Resources
DMM1 (1) 1 55 Poor Resources w/Experimentation
DMM1 (5) 1 55 Good Resources
DMM1 8 2 55 Good Resources w/Experimentation

Where first column of numers is the module quality, second column is the module rating (before installing into a droid) and the third column is the rating after the droid was assembled (final assembly step). Not sure why they have two different scales there, but they do.

In any case, even though I was able to bring the quality up considerably and the rating up a notch, it had zero impact on the final product. Maybe it's different at the higher module types, but I have not noticed this to be the case.

It is also important to know the doubles as well. You got all the singles right (at least the ones you had). Here are the doubles.

You sure about 2xL3 armor? 2x3=6. You should ge a single L6 rating. I know a L2+L4 gives you L6

To make the stuff like dual L3's work, you have to get good experimentation values - otherwise, just use dual L4's.

Though, a high quality L6 for anything is the best way to go - especially since they are closing down the cluster exploit
