Thread: Am i reading this right...BH/Smugglers can only blow Det droids??

So me as a DE cant blow up my own Det droid? So are they only for BH and Smuggler. Could someone give me a quick rundown of how the BH and smuggler controls the Det module. Im just starting back into SWG and i need a little help with all the new modules.

Yep, it's for BH/Smuggler only. Think of it like a certification.

Basically what happens is that you call the droid. When you want it to detonate you either target the droid and type /detonateDroid or you access Detonate from the radial menu. Keep in mind that there is a 3 second timer on the detonation after you tell it to detonate and it is a visible timer above the droids head. I think they're alot of fun.

God forbid any other profession to use this!!! Try putting 6 Detonation Modules in a R3 droid! oooh... the power of 10k damage in 1 explosion! too sweet. I love having a BH as a 2nd account

As both a Bounty hunter and a droid engineer i think of Detonator droids as anti jedi smart bombs with some of the larger droids having 6 moduals strapped to them and with a nice amount of ham (as jedis tend not to like droids running round at there feet counting down ) det droids are the perfect BH way of destroying jedi some of which are far too power ful for most BH to contend with

If you wanna use droids, don't become a DE.

Look, what a BH or smuggler do with their droids in the privacy of their own home is their business.....er...oh, you mean only they can detonate the droids....er...yeah, that's right.

I find it rather odd that we can build/program the thing, but can't use it. Oh well.

But how hard could it really be to press the destruct switch, surely we can command them to follow a target, but why not flip a switch?
