Does anyone know if later on in the game battle droids will be able to be constructed? I think that by adding them, it would bring a nice dynamic to the game itself. Any thoughts?

they've mentioned the possibility, but they are not going to touch us until the CH's get their mounts.

Wellif you've noticed one thing, DE is a grind profession. As it stands now, you HAVE to grind your next skill box until you reach 3/3/0/3 in our profession. Unless you've reached Blueprints II, you don't really have a grind item anymore because currently we can't build any droids. You won't make any more money than you will with your architect skills.

I thinka lot of us would recommend youtaking a good look at pistoleer first.

Battle droids are in the future, yes. However, I really wouldn't look for them to be in the game until after the New Year. Even then, they probably won't work right and will be have to be patched again and again....

Every patch since the beginning of the game has been bug fixes and improvements for other classes. Every patch except for the last one has been a nerf, this last one lets you change the colors on existing chassis. Lame.

Hi All,

I have been playing for about 48 hours. I am almost MM. Gettin excited as I am on my way to BH. I am working on my rifle skills andhave come to the conclusion that I need a battle droid to hold some agro while I shoot at the mob with my trusty rifle. What exactly am I looking for? Where do I get one? WHo can make me one? How much should it cost? I am on Tempest and my name is Afini. Thank you in advance.

Hey there bud. The true combat droids right now are the probot and the R3. They might be out of your price range right now as they are usually around 35k and 55k respectively. Prices vary per server.

You could probably talk a DE into making a DZ probe droid with combat modules in it for 10-15k or less. They make decent companions for new players.

The nice thing is if you group with it while getting missions from a terminal you will get higher level missions. This is great for new guys who are strapped for cash in the beginning.

The best one to get is an R3 with 1 combat module and 5 autorepair modules. This way the droid can act as a tank and not take too much xp from you. The downside is it uses a lot of batteries.

From one of the stickied FAQs

Droid Batteries
When ever your droid is in a *Low Power* state, it needs to be recharged. Many of the droid's functions will not work if the droid is at 0% Battery Power. The typical battery life is 1 hour per charge, however some modules will drain power at a faster rate. See the above listed modules for excepts to the 1 hour rule. To recharge your droid, you must have a Droid Battery present in your Inventory. Under Droid Options, on the droid radial, you will find a Recharge command. 1 Battery charge will be expended per recharge use. Recharging your droid will heal all Mental damage. The radial is the only way to recharge your droid, through the use of a battery. Power Droids also produce the same function as using a battery, but can not target themselves for the recharge.
