Thread: Need Stable Factories to Produce Affordable BH Droids
If SOE doesn't get the factory issues resolved like yesterday, what the hell are bounty hunters gonna do? No way I'm gonna spend my time slapping seekers and probes together... Mass production is the only viable way to produce seekers for a reasonable price... probes are at least somewhat worth making for what we can charge.
Basically seekers are used by BH's 5-10 times a mission I'm told with 1-2 probes being used. NPC vendor used to charge 200 for seekers and 1000 for probes... at that rate you're barely gettin over 1 credit for each resource you expended to make the droid. Yes, of course, this falls in line with all the other F-ups the game and our profession have.
DEVs please pay bounty hunters what they are worth... between travel and droids most BHs lose money, and only guys like me who want to help bounty hunters keep goingare doing so terribly at our expense in time wasted with factory bugs, and hand making these worthless droids
I heard one thing to try with the factories to try to avoid having to redeed them when they stop for no reason:
Try to always put the ingredients into the input hopper in the same order they appear in the schematic. This helps I am told by a good friend. Just started trying it tonight so can't confirm yet.
Ex.
If ingredients for schematic are:
Steel 10
Inert Petro 8
Put the ingredients into the hopper steel first, then inert petro.
I have also read that limiting the schematic to 99 (or less, just less than 100) and only putting enough resources for 98 (or less, just less than the schematic is designed to produce) will provide trouble-free operation. I have yet to try this out, but the PA web site I found it on seemed certain of its reliability.
YMMV.
I have found that I can run 100 items a day... each day. If I try and run any more than that and the factory quits on me.. if I wait till the next day, I can, again run 100 items. Its like there is a hidden limit on the factory.. 100 items a day.
