OK, I had a thought while looking at this thread:

which concerns rebel/imperial mine fields being set up in the opposing faction's village.

As there is no mine sweeper capability in the game, why not sell the basic mouse droids as mine sweepers?

Not positive this would work, but the mine fields are visible to the other faction. So, if you want to remove (blow up) a mine field, couldn't you just set a patrol point at one side of the mine filed, run around it to the other side, set another patrol point, and have the MSE go and blow itself up on the minefield, thereby removing the threat?

Now, maybe mines go off only when a PC runs over them, and not a PC owned pet... I am not sure on that. But if it worked, it would give an actual use for the little beeping menances...
