Seems I see alot of you DE's promoting the notion that only DE's should be allowed more than one droid out at a time. Why are you shooting yourselves in the foot?

I'm a droid adict... I've bought hundreds of thousands on droids... hey! I own 2 BLLs! I have droid chassis all over my cantina. The biggest beef I have is that I cannot use the repair droid I bought to repair my own droids! I want to buy a power droid, but I figure whats the point? I can't call it to recharge my droids! Imagine the following...

C3PO: But master luke... You'll need me to comunicate with the aliens... after all I am fluent in over 6 million forms of comm..."

Luke: "sorry 3PO... I need R2 to help fly the x-wing. I'll just have to blow those aliens away instead of talk to them. Off into the data pad you go!"

C3PO: "But Master Lu..." Poof!

R2D2: "Beep boopbeeeep!"

Luke: "whats that R2? You're low on power? Let me whip out my power droid..."

R2D2: "Beeee..." Poof!

Power droid: "Gronk gronk"

Luke : "**edit**!"

I don't want an army of probots! I want to be able to take out a repair droid to fix my single probot! I want a power droid out at the same time to chargemy crafting droid! Two at the same time is enough. Is that too much to ask? Imagine how many more sales you'd have! With droids eating batteries like candy, power droids would go through the roof!

Think about your customers guys and gals! We NEED more than one droid out at a time! You can't make your profession successful by only catering to what DE's want!

I think the issue is actually having more than one combat droid out at once.

I like the idea of allowing anyone to have more than one droid out.

The fix for this is relatively easy. It's been mentioned before but there just needs to be 2 rules allowed.

1) 1 combat capable droid can be out at once and;
2) X utility droids are allowed out at once (I recommend starting out with X=2 and increase it later to a max of 4 if the servers can handle it.

I am fine with non-de using more then one droid. However,I think it should be they can have a max oftwo droids out at a timeone combat andone service droid ortwo service droids. Also a Master de should be able to control a max ofthree droids. One combat and two service or three service.

Okay, but I've got to ask the negativist question: what the hell would I do with three active droids? There aren't enough available droid functions to make three active droids any more attractive than two.

I don't personally mind if people other than DEs get to control more than one droid, as long as it doesn't lead us right back down the slippery slope into the "everybody can control any droid equally" mentality that got us where we are now. But multiple droids in themselves seem pretty harmless.

Power + med/crafting droid.

Droid repair droid + any other droid

When more modules are introduced, different functions.

It would add immersion.

I say let master de's become like master ch... Let them call an army of probots. Seems reasonable to me... but let the ordinary crafter, who uses a probot to help keep himself alive while visiting harvesters, call at least 2. No one but a master DE should be able to call more than one combat droid, butlet me repair or power my own probot.

But wouldn't it be cool to see an army of DE combat droids taking on a CH's graul? Sure, at the present nerf level, the droids would be toast, but it would finally "look" like starwars.

Heh. Sketh, actually that was a roundabout way of saying we need more functions. There's ultimately not much I could do with three droids I couldn't do with a Probot, a fully loaded Advanced R3 and some droid batteries.

Two is my Probot, fighting with me.

Three is my Power Droid, whom is charging my probot, whom is fighting with me.

Really, two utility droids are the most anyone really NEEDS out, for the moment. If the devs prove me wrong by implementing a lot more functions, I guess I'll just have to be amensch and admit it, eh?

For instance, if they gave us a Merchant module that allowed us to assign vendor style custom "Ad Barking" (with the merchant's Ad2 skill), then I could see the extra utility slot.

Four is the cat that killed the spider that caught the fly that crawled on the power droid that charged the probot that's fighting with you?
