Thread: How easy the masses are pleased

So we have a little DE meeting on Ahazi, see a few screenshots and enjoy the rain and you all forget why we are upset?

Well heres a reminder... WE ARE STILL BROKEN AFTER 5 MONTHS.

We are unanswered, unfixed, unresolved, no REAL plan posted to address our bugs nothing for us and yet... we are happy because we all met on Ahazi to talk about, hmm not much of anything concerning DROID ENGINEERING. GEE... what price are we going to sell our next "broken droid" for?

Lets not forget these people....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd like to add my support to the DEs. They have really been given the short end of the stick over the last few months. The profession has so many issues it needs a major overhaul, but without doubt I'd much rather see droids in the SWG cities than the assorted zoo of players' pets I see every night. Droids are part of what make the star wars universe. It just makes no sense why their pleas to be fixed have been ignored for so long. Give them some attention please.

Veralis, Chilastra - Master Armorsmith.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above was coppied from a post in the general discussion forums.

Enjoy "our" still unacknowledged and broken profession.

Who says we're pleased? There isn't one post on these boards that even in the slightest conveys that we are pleased. I think we are at a lull right now because most of us have argued to the point of exhaustion, and now we're waiting for some sort of Dev response.

I'm not pleased, but we've argued until we're blue in the face, to what avail?

Exactly... it's not like we haven't said everything that's to be said already. "Venting spleen" just isn't what I call constructive.

**edit**, my evil ploy to distract the masses with some simple charisma failed! Time to join the Devs and just go stonewall quiet then, I suppose.

But did I miss something? I didn't run the event to make everyone 'happy' (though it was a nice spinoff). I ran it to show that the situation, while broken, is not buried and that if we pull together we can make the most of our situation. All it takes is a change of playstyle. Whereasthe other professions find strength from individuality, we can find our strength in unity. Well, technicallytheyall could too, but none ofthe other professions have an opportunityto pull together like we do. You can look on our work as a good thing or a bad thing. Personally, I think that DEs helping each other out falls under the 'good things' catagory. I can only shoot things or grind things so many times before I get bored. But the people are what make things interesting.

I'm not here to change the profession (there are more than enough people on here trying to do that as is). I'm merely here to show you what we can achieve with what we already have in our hands. If my effortsaren't desired then I'll just continue to restrict them to our little Ahazi server. Your ball matey.

Exactly. Arguing about it here, or even posting on any other SWG forum, seems to be about as useful as asking people on the street to do something about it. But with fewer weird looks.

First off, It was a greate meeting, well planned and nice turnout. Im not bashing the meeting at all here and I certainly hope they continue. Im sorry that you took it that way Woody.

Im simply stating that we should not stop there. We should have more meetings, more talk here about the meetings and reinforce what we agree to at the meetings here.

Make the bug reports for example. I think that was the best idea to come up from teh meetings. Maybe, just maybe with 1,000,000,000 /bugged reports about the same issues will get some attention directed at them.

I also agree that we are blue in the face from all of this, as posted above. So you know what, Ill stop.

Cheers...

Two words... CHILL OUT! We know we are broken. At this time there is little to nothing we can do about it.

The best thing I think we can do is prepare for January. if we're organized and in place by then, we will be able to to send in the "Million Droid Bug Reports" just as our new released materal comes out
