Thread: Sintrosi from a Holocron DE

I opened my first holocron last night (I have many and this just happened to be the first one I opened) and it told me that I should become a Master Droid Engineer. At first I was very happy because from my many years of loving the Star Wars Universe this was the one profession I wanted to play. The reason I have not played this profession up until now was the numerous threads from DEs everywhere telling us all how much the profession was borked. So I became a CH which to me is like having some furry droids until such time I can play a DE without the huge frustration factors.
So how do you think I felt when I came to this forum this morning to get some opinions and advice (and by advice I was going to ask how much to sell certain droids for so as not to unbalance the market) and I see your message to all Holocron DEs? Well I was fairly pissed to say the least.
You should be ashamed of yourself and your attitude. Over the past few weeks there have been many people in game running around trying to master various professions, and most people help out as much as possible. I will give free creatures to anyone starting out as a CH - it is much easier to gain the xp with a fully trained animal. I thought that this was a community and that we were all helping each other out? It does not matter what someone's playstyle is, we should not look down on an individual whose playstyle is different than ours. If you, or some ofyour fellow DE's, do not want to respond to questions in the forum then you can simply ignore them. The messages will soon drop of the front page anyway. It may have been more constructive to post a sticky for all holocron DE's to ask questions andthen regular DE's who cared could respond there. Would that have been so hard?
So here is the bottom line; I am fortunate to have plenty of credits in my characters account - resources will not be a problem. Instead of destroying the droids I make I will be giving free droids away to everyone on my server - I will even open a vendor and sell everything for 1 credit - that is every droid I can make will sell for 1 credit - in afew days I will start advertizing this on my galaxy forum. Your fellow droid engineers on Tempest can thank you personally for the introduction of Icha's charity droid shop.
When you remove your arrogantsticky from the board I will stop giving away free droids. I will not ask for an apology as I am fully aware it will not be sincere it will merely be aface savingexercise. Your pomposity sickens me.

In all respect Sintrosi's bitterness is well founded. Since day 1 several DE's (like myself) have been nerfed, squashed, ridiculed, silenced and generaly been raked over the coles by the Dev's and other professions. Its all well and good to have your little cash stash, however, Sintrosi's (and many other DE's) have trouble coming up with the credits to maintain thier homes, nevermind actualy maintaining a viable business.
I don't think you appriciate the battles this group has gone through to even get a modicrum of love. Not to mention the table scraps we have been tossed. Before your so quick to judge our attitude, I urge you to read through thisforum and see what's been happening.
Your threat rings hollow anyway, in order to viably sell your wares, you will need alot more than MDE. Your going to need master artisan to sell any marketable droids. (Unless you want to buy those electronic components from another MA). Many of us haven't had a droid sale in weeks since mounts came out. Besides, you'll craft your way thru find another holicron and be off to chef school soon enough.
But seriously, at the time Sintrosi posted that message this board was literally flooded with posts asking "How do I get Master DE in 7 hours?" - it was really frustrating to see people care so little about a title that I spent 2 months working toward but yet expect us to help them. There were also many valid posts getting pushed off the front page due to the flood.
Sintrosi's post (as it clearly states in it) was just for the HoloDEs that want to macro their way to MDE then drop it. The macros to do so were all provided in the post. Problem solved, no more annoying posts flooding our board from people who could care less about contributing useful discussion about the future of DEs. To the other HoloDEs who wish to contribute Sintrosi saluted and thanked in the post.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anything wrong with the post.

If you would have taken the time to understand the post, and realize that when it was posted we had 5-6 people coming by these forums a day asking "What's the fastest way to master DE?" or "What do I grind?" All information that was readily available by anyone even remotely bothering to actually read these forums. So Sintrosi takes time to post that information and make it sticky so we don't have to deal with the constant Holo DE flooding of these forums. Granted, the tone of the post isn't the nicest, but get over it. The post has stopped those posts, which was it's intended purpose.
And good luck selling your droids at 1cpu.To make the more complex droids you'll need both MA and a factory making parts for you, which won't help you at all, since the factory parts will not give you any xp.
By your own adminssion - you are not here because you want to be, you are here because the cube told you to(and when you had a choice you chose to be CH)
That is all that needs to be said, and all anyone needs to know

I apologize to those DE's out there who are of a reasonable nature. I read my post after I had finished my 3rd coffee of the day and 5th cigarette and realized that I was sounding just as bitter and vitriolic as Sintrosi. I suppose I just did not expect this sort of attitude from a Profession Correspondent.
I truly think that the DE profession should view the holocron guys and girls in the same manner as those timeshare give aways you read about in magazines. You know the ones where you get a free gift and mini holiday if you visit the resort for 3 days? Now we all know that the only reason people go is for the gift and holiday right? But there are always some folks who go along for the free ride and think to themselves "Hang on a minute, this is pretty cool, I may just hang around here for a while" Just maybe some of the holocron DE's just may decide that it is a really cool profession and stick around (or come back later down the road), and the larger your community grows the stronger it will grow. You can see from the some of the other professions that are way overpowered that it is the larger communities that get the response from the DEV team.
I take back my comment (or threat whatever you want to call it ) regarding the giving away of droids. Instead, I will give away any components I make (if they are of decent quality) to DE's on my server so that they can use them. This way, hopefully some of you will realize that some good may come from a small section of the playerbase being 'forced' into become a DE, and that we are not all crazy powergaming 13 year olds.
Please be patient with us, and let us all work together to gain the DE profession some real high end rewards.
Blow it out yor A$$ sulkymonkey. We dont worry about your usless type of threats. You cant destroy the droid market by giving them away. "THERE IS NO MARKET" . You'll be lucky if you can give them away. And you'll only be here till next "Holo Quest". I'll be glad to see how appreciative you are when you hit BH and need some DE to make your seekers and probes.
And if you would have read Sintrosi's post, you would realize she was talking to the lame a$$es that dont have time to read the stickies on this forum, before they start flooding it with questions that have been answered a million times.
SO BRING IT ON BAD ASS !!!!

Did you seen my second post? I guess not... And by the way, Sintrosi is a he and not a she. Please do not tell me that a holocron DE is more aware of the DE correspondent that you are. For shame...
EvidentlyI was creating my retort before seeing your previous post. And yesI know Sintrosi is a guy. Force of habit in refering to him as her. And yes, I need my coffee too, before posting. We are a troubled group. And it doesnt take much to set us off. But there is still no market to destroy.
