Thread: Problems with Storage Compartments!

Dear fellow DEs,

much to my horror, in the last two days I've had clients gmail me saying that they did not get an 'open droid storage compartment' option on the radial menu of any droid they've recently purchased and called. The droids have a storage rating upon examination, but do not seem to be presenting the owner with any means of opening said storage!

Since storage is an important drawcard with the sale of my droids, I find this very concerning!

I have read elsewhere on these boards that storage problems have been experienced with adv. surgical models - what is the nature of the problem here?

One of these droids was replaced on the spot to the same specifications, only to find the same problem once the droid was called. I thought maybe there was a problem with old modules, but apparently new modules are not faring any better!

Has anyone else had this problem recently?

The Problem with the Surgicals is they Storage Does Not work in them. It doesn't have to be the ADV Surgicals either it is any. If you are tyring to make a Medic droid with storage, try some other frame.

I have sold a bunch of my MSE budget model storage droids over the last week and have not had any complaints.

Are you using the Medical Droid chasis (known bug) ? Or is this happening to you with any other chasis?

Further perusal of these threads has proved yes, it's a long standing issue with surgical frames. Both the droids I sold were adv surgical models. Looks like I'll be contacting the owners to organise a replacement chassis.

Strange that past surgical clients haven't mentioned this to me before. Thought the fact it was in the last few days may have linked it with a recent patch. Not so it seems.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Oh I have noticed that there's been a little delay upon calling the droid and the 'droid options' part of the radial menu appearing. At first it looks like all you can do is examine, but if you wait a second then the 'options' part of the menu appears.

And yes, storage hasn't worked on surgicals since the beginning of time. Just one more way to prove that our good game provider is dedicated to tracking down and killing all known bugs within the first 10 years of release.

Sorry TK, didn't mean to get down on the devs, but there are some very very old issues and not having a fix after 1 year is close to inexcusable. I usually cut them some slack but every time I read patch notes that include incredibly stupid little fixes that have no bearing on anyone while we have chassis and modules that still don't work together just makes me a little frustrated.

A side note: Sometimes it takes many clicks on the droid to get the radial to show the various options of a droid, such as opening its storage capacity.
