I have been playing the game since live but I just now picked up Novice Droid Engineer so if this is a stupid question, forgive me
I got a skill tape that is +2 Droid Complexity, I'm not sure what this is It isn't shown as a modifier on the skills screen. My thought was that it has something to do with schematics since I know those have complexity.
If anyone could help out a newb I would be most gracious.

Its a broken skill mod. Ones to look for are the Assembly, and Experimentation ones

most people think it does nothing. others think it plays a role in increasing the maximum schematic complexity level that you will be able to work with while away from a crafting station. either way, it makes little difference because a droid with a crafting station is so easy to get, especially for a DE.

I equiped it to some clothing and now it's listed it says +0/+2, but if I hover over it says " this is an erronus value".
Why would the devs make a skill tape that does nothing ? or maby it's left from beta (that would be really stupid BTW)?

well. there are a lot of skill tapes in the game that are left over from beta (or earlier!)and which actually do nothing.

Have you ever seen the Demolishinists Belt? They made a new schematic for tailors put it into a Revised Theme Park Reward, where all the skills are nonexistant. They were from Beta when Commandos used to have to make their own grenades. Since they moved the grenades to Weaponsmith they made the experimentation based off of the Weapon Experimentation.

Those were working, and were reducing complexity of schematics, allowing you to do higher schematics without a crafting station and lowering the factory time, but the dev removed the skill, but didn't removed the skill tapes.
There is lots of clean up to be done on skill tapes, but it is not a priority.

I really wish that this skill tape/bonus wasn't removed from the game, since I'm a proud owner of a set of +24 Droid Complexity clothing. All I can say is, back when it did work, the bonus was really nice. The lowered complexity levels on each component made failure extremely low. It was by far the most powerful crafting tape in the game.

you pay less for getting trained skills, but your jedi trainer teaches you for free.

heheh and it barely lowers it too, i trained it on the TC once just to see what it does highly useless.
