I've been seeing the loading screen about upcomming mail changes, but haven't heard anything at all about them from the devs, anyone know whats up with these? Its got me a bit worried since I tend to do mass mailing and make rather lengthy manuals to mail people... I really hope they don't screw with it too much. While the current system may drop some of my mails, lock up when I try to resort, and force me to split my customer list into 6 parts or I lose my connection I can still use it how I want.

And yea, it may not be specifically droid related, but I couldn't think of anywhere better to post it. And you never know, since they're changing the system maybe we can get data storage modules in on the process somehow.

Any "fix" better involve gettin rid of that stupid bug that opens up like 20 mail windows at once.

The DEVs are currently working on a significant change to the Database system that is supposed to help out with server wide stability, more then likely in the preparation for JtLs release in the next few months.

Test Center had a complete hardware change out so that TC-Ahazi and TC-Bria could be brought online to perform a major stress test. From the information that I have read, this back end changeshouldfixa lot of possible Database issues. Tie this in with the new Vendor Limits and we start to see a bigger picture of major plans in the works to try and make each server a little more stable for the future.

Yea, I know they've been doing a lot of database cleanup t ype stuff, I'm just hoping we'll get some information on what the (expected) side effects of this one are. I saw that all messages older than 6 months and larger than 4096 characters will be deleated, I'd just like to know if these are going to be new limits (or if there will be any other new limits).

They also mentioned a /saveemail command... does anyone know what it does? I forgot to try it out last night!

They got that wrong. It is actually /mailsave.
It will make a copy of all your mails in a folder on your hard drive. I use it all the time to use Merchant's Friend to follow my sales.

A fellow guildie has created a program which imports your Vendor Sales emails (after you have done the mailsave command) and puts them into a nice little display.

Basically, what the program does is allow you to track what is selling, which Vendors it sold through, who to, and if you want to add a cost to an item, it will show the profitability of the item as well.

I totally love this program, and am trying to persuade him to post a link to the download on here so others can use it, and see how useful it has been. Currently it has shown me that I get 95% sales through one of my vendors, I have 3 key products I sell regularly, and have accordingly increased their price slightly, which gives me more profit, without impacting sales. It has shown which of the many droids I make don;t sell (meaning I have dropped those lines from my Vendor) etc etc.

As a plus, it also removes the mail from the saved mail directory, into a backup directory, so you don't lose the mail, and you run no risk of importing the same mail twice.

Fantastic program, and as soon as he is brave enough to post a link to it, I will update you all.

contains the install program, and the exe, you need to run the install and then copy the exe over the one in the install directory.

If you do have problems, for gods sake don't email him! He doesn't know I posted it!
